    Description

Struck by Wilhelm Mayer, Stuttgart, Germany.
Obverse- Liberty head, in what looks to me to be high relief, facing to Left; below initials W.M.-- all within circle; stars outside around; below, 1892
Reverse- Scene depicting Landing of Columbus; below, 1492--all within circle; outside, around DEDICATED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN HONOR OF THE 400TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISCOVERY OF AMERICA, UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL 1492.  The Coin is 1-1/8” (28.5mm). I am guessing it is bronze based on the weight and color.  As you can see by the photos, the coin is dirty. So-called dollars of this design are HK-220, HK-221, HK-222 and varieties.  I don’t know where this one falls as to the HK# so please look at the photos, ask questions and thank you for viewing my auction.
