    Description

    I have for sale the Liberty Head Dollar medal from the 1893 Columbian Exposition that was held in Chicago, Illinois.  This medal is listed in the So Called Dollar catalog as HK222 or possibly HK222a.  The medal is aluminum, it is 1 3/8 inches in diameter and looks to be in proof condition to me.  The obverse shows the Liberty Head and has the year 1892.  It has a star and bead border.  The reverse shows the Columbus landing scene.  Around the rim it reads DEDICATED TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN HONOR OF THE 400TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DISCOVERY OF AMERICA - UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TE COLLECTABLES.  (17,045)
