Vintage Leigh Taylor Wyatt Hand Blown Glass Murano Style Vase Vessel Signed 1998

I was introduced to Leigh Taylor Wyatt about 20 years ago when I was visiting a very old friend in my home town who lived across the street from this artist's studio.  Leigh demonstrated a technique to us that she called "pulling straws" if I'm remembering correctly. My younger brother's first girlfriend was Leigh's older sister way back when, as a matter of fact.  I didn't know Leigh before that day but I did remember her sister who was older.  I bought this "vessel" from her while I was in town and have had it with me ever since. It's a beautiful piece, very like her current work. Honestly, I think her work rivals Murano in the beauty category. This vase is signed, dated, and in perfect, flawless, very colorful condition.  I've never used it for anything other than display.  It's never had flowers or water in it and it looks perfectly wonderful sitting on a window sill where the light can shine thru it.
Leigh lives and works in Austin these days and her artwork is hot, if you'll pardon the pun. I've included a couple of photos of two of her works that have sold.  Her pieces have sold on Live Auctioneers and Cherish and she's becoming internationally known.

This stunning piece of beautiful art is signed Leigh T Wyatt and dated ('98) and it's very heavy.  It is 11"H x 9 1/2"W x 3 1/2"D
